The sheep lover: a courtesan holding a rose in her right hand and leading a sheep with a human head. N.B. 'A Sheep Husband', a phrase employed at Bengali weddings for taunting or teasing the bridegroom, but perhaps also used for satirizing female domination. Source: The British Library
