First black pilot to fly for Britain in WW1. On the outbreak of war in 1914, Clark aged 19 travelled to England at his own cost for ‘King & Country’
He joined the RAF (Royal Flying Corps) in 1915 working first as a mechanic, then as a driver. He began pilot training in 1916 and gained his ‘wings’ in 1917.. Died in 1981 and is buried in Jamaica
