200 Drawings by Jim Moir: aka Vic Reeves

19 September - 5 October 2018

Extended until 5 October

We are delighted to announce our forthcoming exhibition of sketches and works on paper by the remarkable talent Jim Moir (b.1959), aka Vic Reeves. The show will feature new works by the artist, and will run from the 19 September - 1st October 2018 at Grosvenor Gallery in St. James's London. The artist will be in attendance at an invitation only private view on Tuesday 18th September.

His inspirations are wide ranging, encompassing celebrity, nature, architecture and peculiar fantasy assemblages. The product of a constantly creative mind, Moir says of his art; "I think putting your imagination on canvas or a television screen is the same thing. If you've got an idea you have got to have an outlet for it. So if it's painting, poetry, singing or acting it all comes out somewhere."

Jim's focus for this show is extremely wide ranging, and encompasses portraits, landscapes, still life studies as well as sublime and ridiculous montages. If you're a fan of his comedy, you will know what we mean..!

Jim's work can also be seen at the 250th Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London until the 19th August.

200 Drawings by Jim Moir runs at Grosvenor Gallery from the 19th September - 1st October 2018.
